AAR has positioned itself as a premium consulting group that sits between a professional service group and a traditional recruitment agency. You benefit from receiving contractors of the highest quality, yet our fee structure will be much more fairly based. In addition, unlike many other Agencies, AAR will take strong ownership of their contractors to ensure their results are of the highest standards. We set high expectations for ourselves and accept personal responsibility for results.

AAR Consulting Group will minimise sourcing on the Open Market. We will source candidates through our virtual bench, strong network and from recommendations. AAR Contractors (consultants) must have strong proven track records in their industry and also be highly recommended by their peers in their industries.

Understanding the Client requirements:

 

Too many contracting / professional services organizations focus on THEIR capabilities and offerings, trying to retrofit their strengths / skills to the Client's requirements. This often results in prescriptive, inflexible solutions – or downright project failure. Our approach is the complete opposite: first, we take the time (a lot of time, if required!) to REALLY understand the Client's environment, challenges, objectives, plans and associated constraints. We also ensure that we position all this knowledge in the context of the Client's business and competitive environment. ONLY then do we start working on the outline of a solution – and even this is done in VERY close consultation with the client. Our approach involves focusing on the overall project scope with priorities clearly identified and risks assessed – and using this framework to identify and scope project roles and key resources. Finally, at this stage we are ready to start looking for the “best-in-market” professionals to fulfil these project roles.

Focus on Strategic Project Skills:

Based on our multi-year project experience dealing with countless Clients across many Industry sectors, we have come to the realization that a (relatively small) number of project skills can have a direct and very tangible impact on the success (or, sadly, failure) of the project. Such skills include:

Project Management
Solution Design
Business Analysis
Test Management

The above skills need to be selected with particular care – and this is where the “devil is in the detail”; because not only do you choose the professionals based on their credentials, but also (and this is the key) based on such factors as:

Emotional Intelligence
Personality assessment in terms of their abilities to co-operate and work as a ‘team'
Business Analysis
Suitability to a particular project ‘type' (for instance: small / medium / large project, Development versus Migration project, etc)
